5 Simple Solutions For Easy Living

Lots of people always ask me for advice on simple tips that could help them with their daily lives. So, I figured, why not share a few of my easiest and helpful tips with my followers this week in place of a project?

Check it out and let me know what you think!

1. Animal Sculpture Jewelry Holder

I don't know about you, but I don't really utilize conventional jewelry boxes. They're just not my style. But! I went to Home Goods a few months back and found this beautiful giraffe statue that I thought would be PERFECT for my bracelets!

When looking for a new place to hang your jewelry  opt for statues with elongated necks, ears, or arms that can showcase your pieces for you instead of those conventional displays and boxes!

2. Shoe Rack Clothing Shelf

A while back my family bought this awesome shoe rack to place our shoes on by the front door, but eventually we decided that we didn't need it anymore.

So instead of throwing it out, I decided to use it as a shelving unit in my empty armoire!

3. Scented Toilet Paper Roll

Try this! Next time you open up a new roll of toilet paper, sprinkle some of your favorite scented oils inside the cardboard tube! When you use your toilet paper, your favorite oils will be dispersed in your bathroom!

4. The "Soften Your Shoe" Trick

Sometimes you buy a pair of shoes that you just LOVED in the stores, but after wearing them a few times you realize that they just will not break in!

(I learned this trick back in my High School softball days when I had to break in my new mits!)

Place your shoes under your mattress and sleep on them for a few nights.  When you take them out from under your mattress they will be able to fold and bend a little more than before! Hopefully you'll even have broken in the backs and loosened them up!  Now you can avoid those pesky blisters you get from stiff shoe backs!

5. Cutlery Jewelry Box

This is a great way to organize your favorite jewelry.  I picked up this cutlery organizer for $1.00, but I never intended to use it for any silverware! Instead, I used it to showcase and organze some of my silver and gold!

Best part is, these organizers are meant to fit in a drawer or tight space, so you can store your neatly organized jewelry in your dresser or armoire!

(PS. If you'd like the studded bracelets in this picture, you can learn how to make them in my DIY Recycled Belt Bracelets post!)

What Do You Think!

I'm really interested to know what you guys thought of this post! Would it be helpful to you if once a month I dedicated a post to "Easy Living"?

Also, I love hearing helpful hints from other people! If you have a simple solution for your home or fashion email it to me and you could be featured on my next "Simple Solutions" posts!

Please leave me some love in the comment box and let me know what you think!

Happy Monday!
